I know I haven't been active on here for some time now other than reading and replying to messages, so it seems silly to say I'm going on a break.

I've been wanting to try this every time they release a new generation, but haven't had the willpower. I'm going to avoid looking at any spoilers until Sun and Moon are out. I really want to experience the new region and Pokémon with fresh eyes, and have that genuine excitement whilst I'm playing. Its going to be difficult, as I usually want to know everything all at once, and it will be hard not tapping into Pokebeach when I'm bored.

I really hope this new generation/expansion will spark my interest again; I wasn't all that excited by Pokémon X and Y, and I don't even have a copy of Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. Everything seemed to be simplified/dumbed down for the new console - so hopefully now that the developers have had some time to get used to the technicalities we'll get a bit more content.

So for now it's Goodbye, unless I cave and spoil it for myself, but I really hope I don't.

Just one question - do we have an international release date yet? So I know how long I have to wait.

I'm in a great art slump since graduating. I got that worked up with drawing that I gave myself a break once I finished - now I'm finding it difficult to get back into it.

Still checking DA daily though

So guys I'm planning on a complete overhaul of my two regions. Basically I've had about a year break from the whole fakemon scene, and now I'm back its given me a good opportunity to have a look at my fakemon portfolio with fresh eyes. There are a lot of designs that I feel aren't quite cutting it, along with some weak concepts and some that have been done to death by other artists since - I'm asking myself 'would that really be a valuable asset to this generation?', trying to hone my region down to only the strongest concepts and designs.

Notice I said 'region'. I've decided not to redo my first region, Motomo. These are designs I created quite a few years ago now, and I feel I've progressed a lot since then. As said above there are a lot of weak concepts and overdone ideas that I simply don't wish to revisit. I have however compiled a handful that I will be reusing and adding to my current generation, to create one larger, healthier looking batch.

I'll be removing them from DA in the near future, to cut down on art theft and sneaky clones. I'm not going to auction them off or adopt them out either as that's not my style.

Just wanted to keep you up to date on what's happening. Hopefully something will materialise soon...

I finished my Illustration degree in May and received my final results today! I got a 2:1 which is what I was aiming for. I feel very proud and relieved that its all over with. I also had an interview for a full time position at work (as opposed to part time) last week so hopefully that will amount to something positive as well.

Now that I've finished my course I hope to resume activities on DA once again. Even though I finished University in May I've given myself a break from drawing, 4+ years of art education can be pretty draining on the creative juices.

Thanks to everyone for hanging in there with me, hopefully I'll have new stuff to upload in the not-so-distant future!

Just realised my last journal here was when Aromatisse was first revealed!

I'm in my final year at University now, so any time I'm not at work I'm concentrating on that. That unfortunately means I have less time for Pokémon stuff at the moment (I haven't even completed Y yet!). I still check DA every single day though, and drop a comment or fav where I can.

Definitely still going ahead with my region - just letting you know I haven't left or died, I'm just inactive for a while.
