Lets kick it old skool.
Some of you may remember my old mangrove Pokémon. I decided to redesign them. I'm pretty pleased with how these turned out; the design basis isn't glaringly obvious, which is what I like about it
Based on Magrove Seeds/Crab Larvae and Mangrove Saplings/Spider Crabs/Mangrove Crabs.
Freefloating - 30% Chance of avoiding Water and Flying Type Attacks.

Basic Stage: Seedrift - The Floating Pokemon
Type: Grass
Ability: Freefloating
Name Meaning: Seed-Drift
Evolves: Leaf Stone
It floats downstream, soaking up the sunlight as it goes. Once it has stored enough nutrients, it will sink and bury itself in the river bed to prepare for evolution.

First Stage: Sprigani - The Mangrove Pokemon
Type: Grass/Bug
Ability: Water Absorb
Name Meaning: Sprig-Takaashigani/Kani (Crab)
It filters nutrients from the riverbed with its feet. When food is scarce, its legs can produce more siphons. When they gather to feed, small water Pokémon take shelter under the many legs.

Very nice. I'd keep Freefloating on Sprigrani though, just to not waste the nice ability for a switch in.
